From clueless to Apple Store in 10 days — thanks to AI

Hey folks! I'm a software engineer at Axon — not a game developer, had never touched Godot before, and didn't know what pixel art really meant. But then AI whispered “let's build a game,” and I said “why not?”

And boom: Airplane Pixel 2D — a retro flying game made in just 10 days, powered by Cursor AI, Godot Engine, and a tiny bit of “let's just see what happens.” 😄

The ten-day journey

  • Days 1–6: I built the game, spending about half the time coding and half the time asking AI for help.
  • Day 7: I figured out how to upload the game to the Apple Store.
  • First review: Apple rejected the submission because the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service were missing.
  • Resubmission: I added both documents, resubmitted, waited three days, and the game was approved.
